No 1. Feeling Comfortable
Your dog feels comfortable with you. If he is usually alone at home, he can become clingy and follow you around whenever you are home.
No 2. Not Getting Enough Exercise
When your dog is full of energy but doesn’t get enough exercise, he can follow you around.
If his behavior gets better with toys, it may mean he needs to get more exercise.
No 3. Asking For Something
He may follow you around to ask for something.
In case he can’t get access to the toy under the couch or he is hungry, he would need your help.
No 4. Being Anxious
He can be scared by loud sounds like thunder. In this case, he may run to you and stay by your side.
But if he becomes anxious only when you go out, he might have separation anxiety.
No 5. Imprinting You As Mom
He might recognize you as his mom. He may follow you around and rely on you.
But if it gets worse, he may develop separation anxiety.
